Popis Pracovní Pozice

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will join the HPC Platform Engineering team who manage one of the largest and most complex distributed computing environments in the investment banking industry. You will manage PaaS environment for distributed calculations service offering, which includes technical design and implementation of calculation platform itself and infrastructure elements it depends on. The scale of the platform requires mature and comprehensive management mechanisms to build, configure and monitor system.What will you be doing?
  • Maintaining large scale distribution calculation platform, owning configuration design, developing and maintaining delivery pipelines
  • Consulting platform clients
  • Providing demand and capacity management
  • On-boarding for new applications and clients
  • Providing third line support
  • Working with and supporting the team for deep investigation in design and product issues
  • Building and maintaining automation tooling to manage and monitor environment
  • Coordinating projects for migration, upgrades, on-boarding new technologies etc.

Požadujeme

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in administering Server Operating Systems, including Windows 2008-2016, Linux Red Hat 6-7with ability to configure, troubleshoot and monitoring
  • Server side and distributed applications management, and knowledge of application configuration, monitoring and maintenance of large scale infrastructure
  • Exposure to Agile and DevOps process, approaches, and tools
  • Third line support of a large critical system, and ability to track tasks, prepare reports, analyse service and system statuses
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Solid attention to details
  • Solid verbal/ written communication and presentation skills with English level B1+ or higher
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving mind-set
  • Proactive, self-starter, who can be relied on and deliver results independently
